Life recently took an unexpected turn for two Pennsylvania pedestrians who were injured in a car crash. The accident appears to be under investigation at this time and there is no word of any pending citations for the car’s driver. The two pedestrians who were hit in the car accident required medical attention and were transported to a local hospital.

One of those pedestrians was critical condition at the time of reports. Since it appears as though the other pedestrian avoided a direct collision, the injuries that resulted were not quite as severe. The driver also sustained injures in the crash, but authorities believe he will survive.

Authorities have stated they don’t believe the driver was under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident, nor does it appear as though the motorist was speeding. However, police are trying to determine if the driver had been drinking, but there isn’t any conclusive evidence of that yet.

When a Pennsylvania driver fails to exercise enough caution near crosswalks, the risk of a car accident may be greater. In the unfortunate case that a car-pedestrian accident does occur, the driver’s negligence may become the subject of a personal injury or wrongful death claim. Of course, a full investigation is often required to determine if negligence contributed to a person’s injuries. To find success with a civil claim, the pedestrians will need to meet the burden of proof necessary to convince a court that the driver was indeed responsible for the accident.
