Mr. Iwuoma, after a hard fought battle off the playing field and on the legal field, was awarded substantial Workers’ Compensation benefits both financial and medical for shoulder, wrist and concussion injuries. However, he had to pay all of his own attorney fees as the Steelers’ workers’ compensation insurance carrier proved that they had a reasonable basis to defend the claim.  The only issue on appeal was the attorney fee question.
