A tragic accident occurred that injured two and killed six. Among those killed in the car accident include two kids, a 12-year-old and a 6-year old. A candlelight vigil was recently held for the victims on the football field at a Pennsylvania middle school in which over 300 people attended.
The accident reportedly occurred on Saturday afternoon in Allegheny National Forest. The driver of an SUV crossed the median and crashed into a car. One of the women in the SUV has sustained serious injuries and is being treated. A 10-year-old occupant in the SUV also sustained injuries, but the exact details of his condition have not been reported. Sadly, a 12-year-old girl and 6-year-old boy in the SUV were killed as a result.
The young girl was a cheerleader at her school and the young boy loved to play sports. Four people in the car were also killed, including the driver. No citations have been reported in this crash. No information was released on why the driver of the SUV lost control of her vehicle.
A car accident can be a trying experience for the victims who suffer from them. This is especially true when Pennsylvania families and friends have lost someone. The families of the deceased victims in the car may have the right to file wrongful death lawsuits against the driver of the SUV. Financial damages may be awarded to be paid to the families if negligence on the other driver’s part is established to the satisfaction of a civil court.
